Wedding Insurance -Yes or No
Wedding insurance is a type of insurance policy that helps protect you financially in case unexpected circumstances lead to the cancellation, postponement, or disruption of your wedding plans. It can also provide coverage for various other aspects of your wedding, such as vendor no-shows, lost or damaged wedding attire, and more. Here are some common scenarios that wedding insurance might cover: Vendor Issues: If a key vendor, like the caterer or photographer, fails to show up or goes out of business. Weather-Related Problems: If your wedding needs to be postponed or cancelled due to extreme weather conditions like hurricanes, heavy rain, or snowstorms. Illness or Injury: If a key member of the wedding party (like the bride, groom, or immediate family) falls ill or is injured, causing a need for postponement. Venue Issues: If your chosen venue becomes unusable due to fire, flood, or other unforeseen circumstances. Attire and Jewellery Coverage: If your wedding dress, suits, or valuable jewelry are lost, stolen, or damaged. Liability Coverage: Some policies include liability coverage in case someone is injured or there is property damage during the wedding. When considering wedding insurance, here are a few steps you can take: Research: Research different insurance […]

Reality TV Shows – Their Influence In 2023
Reality TV shows have had a significant impact on the wedding industry, from bridal fashion to wedding planning and even the way couples choose to get married. Shows like “Say Yes to the Dress” have popularized certain wedding dress styles and influenced the way brides choose their dresses. Similarly, shows like “Bridezillas” and “Four Weddings” have influenced wedding planning trends and made couples more conscious of what their weddings should look like. In recent years, some reality TV shows have also focused on alternative wedding styles, such as destination weddings and elopements, which may have encouraged more couples to consider non-traditional wedding options. However, it’s important to keep in mind that reality TV shows often present a highly edited and dramatized version of weddings and may not accurately reflect the experiences of real couples. In general, reality TV shows have made weddings a more mainstream topic of discussion and increased the pressure on couples to have the “perfect” wedding. This pressure may lead some couples to spend more money on their weddings or to focus more on appearances than on what truly matters to them as a couple. However, it’s ultimately up to each couple to decide how much influence […]

Preserving Your Wedding Cake
It’s an old tradition, and one that isn’t followed too often today; but the story behind why it was done will make you want to celebrate your first anniversary the way your parents or grandparents might have done… To ensure prosperity and good luck in the coming years, or to welcome a new born baby into the world (often within the first year) people would preserve the top layer of their wedding cake and celebrate their first milestone after the wedding by enjoying a slice of the cake. Of course, it’s important to know how to preserve it to keep it fresh for a year. On the wedding night, straight after the celebrations have concluded arrange for someone to place the top layer in the cake box and put in the freezer for a few hours. Cling film should then be wrapped carefully around the entire layer to make it airtight, secured in a ziplock bag and put back in the cake box. The cake box should then be wrapped until it’s airtight and put back in the freezer. Easy… It’s also important to remember that some cakes will preserve better than others. For example, heavy fruit or chocolate cake […]

Hiring Wedding Cars – Questions To Ask
Hiring a wedding car is an important decision to make for your special day. You’ll want to ensure that the transportation goes smoothly and adds to the overall experience. Here are some questions to ask when hiring a wedding car: Availability and Booking: Is the car available on my wedding date? How far in advance should I book the car? Can you assist in determining how many vehicles will be required? What is the booking process, and what are the payment terms? Vehicle Ownership: Does the business own the vehicles or use subcontractors? Vehicle Options: What types of wedding cars do you offer? Can I see photos of the available cars? Do you have classic, vintage, or modern cars? How many people can fit into each vehicle? Do you have any vehicles for wheelchair access? Can I hire everyday vehicles for our older guests? Pricing and Packages: What is the rental cost, and what does it include (e.g., hours, mileage, extras)? Are there any additional fees, such as gratuity or fuel charges? Do you offer package deals for multiple vehicles? Vehicle Inspection: Can I inspect the car in person before booking? Is the car well-maintained and regularly serviced? Do you […]

Father Walking Daughter Down The Aisle – What Is The Tradition
The tradition of a father walking his daughter down the aisle is a common practice in many Western weddings. This tradition symbolizes the transition of the bride from her family of origin to her new family with her spouse. It is a symbolic and sentimental moment in the wedding ceremony. Here’s how the tradition typically unfolds: As the wedding ceremony begins, the father of the bride escorts his daughter down the aisle, usually on his arm. The guests stand as a sign of respect and to honor the significance of the moment. The act of the father walking the daughter down the aisle is symbolic of his approval and support of her marriage. It signifies that he is entrusting his daughter to her new partner and family. The journey down the aisle represents the transition from the bride’s life within her family of origin to her new life with her spouse. This tradition harkens back to historical times when daughters were essentially transferred from their fathers’ households to their husbands’. At the end of the aisle, the father often “gives away” his daughter to the groom. In more modern interpretations of this tradition, some couples choose to modify the language […]
